Cozo

Romania

Cozo is a fine observer of reality and a “unique individual” of Romanian contemporary art.

Irony and self-irony are the attribute of the art created by Cozo (Cosmin Paulescu), a sarcastic contemplator of society, formally patterning, by means of Pop Art, the social and political problems of Romania in the past 27 years. 27 years ago Cozo started performing in this direction, his creativity being multifaceted in painting, performance, installations, assemblage and object art. Cozo dares to plastically challenge the aspects of the morality of Romanian people, his criticism proved, along with the impeccable execution of the works, that the artist is a fine observer of reality and a “unique individual” of Romanian contemporary art, a reference name in the artistic creation after 1989.
