Diana Matias Popovici

Romania

In the works of Diana Matias there is a special poetry, but also a drama of powerful contrasts.

Diana Matias unveils her soul in a painted “diary”, her work being an illustration of the numerous facets of her inner self, with fears, anguish, joys, and a soul in front of the mysteries of human existence.

In the works of Diana Matias there is a special poetry, but also a drama of powerful contrasts, of courageous connection of diluted areas with expressive drippings; to which she adds book pages that clearly illustrate that another stage of life has been revealed, another memory that was exhibited, so that she could go further.

Diana Matias, primarily a graphic artist, deals with dynamic compositions in which the dark tones mark the drama by means of contrast and brush strokes, but firmly counterbalances with refined writings, accent drips and vivid colors (blue, violet, green, red).
